V. Williams: for me Olympic games are more important than "Grand Slam" tournaments

31 May 2016

4th time Olympic champion Venus Williams thinks that Olympic games by their significance are more important than the "Grand Slam" tournaments.

Let us remember that in 2000 Venus had won Olympic game in single game and also 3 times (2000, 2008, 2012) had won in a pair game with her sister Serena.

"The victory on Olympic games was the thing that I was dreaming about. This is a wonderful experience-to be the part of such great event. The participation in Olympic games was the eve of my dreams and I can't dream now of anything more. What concerns me I think that Olympic games are in the first place of the most important tennis tournaments -even more important than the tournaments of "Grand Slam"- Tennis World is quoting Williams.
