The Eldense football club case has undergone a new turn — the representative of the Italian investor reported to the investigative bodies that fixed matches were organized under the auspices of mafia.

The representative of investors group Nobile Capuano had told on interrogations that the real owners of the company which invested in club are members of mafia group Ercole di Nicola and Alessandro Gaucci. According to Capuano, they organized fixed matches, as El Confidencial reports.

Let us remind, that Eldense lost to youth team of Barcelona with the score 0:12. This defeat had deprived the club of the chances to reach the third division, and also became the largest defeat in the history of football competition. Right after the match the management of the team declared the termination of cooperation with the Italian investors, and also termination of football matches in the championship until the end of investigation.

The police suspected club of four more matches which could be fixed too. At the same time the forward of the football club Cheikh Saad had declared that his teammates will receive good money from bookmakers after the match with "Barcelona B". Also the forward stated that if the situation repeats, he won't be silent.

Also the Spanish football federation had opened the case against the club.
