The famous forward of Italian national team Christian Vieri prior to the beginning of a season had made a bet with the forward of Cagliari Marco Borriello for a number of goals which he will manage to score during the season in Series A.
Vieri had promised to pay Borriello a holiday if he will manages to score 15 goals during the season. The forward went over that task: 34-year-old forward has 16 scored goals in Series A and four goals in the Coppa Italia, as the Football Italia reports.
Vieri paid, as he had promised to do, however Borriello preferred to choose a charity: he had bought three defibrillators on the money he received.
"Instead of a holiday I made the decision to buy three defibrillators and to give them to places which are so dear to my heart: to Napoli, Norcia and the island of Sardinia" — Borriello said.
