The American tennis player Nikita Kryvonos is disqualified for ten years and is fined with $20 000 for organization of a fixed match.
Tennis Integrity Unit organization (which aim is to fight against corruption in tennis) has defined that the 30-year-old tennis player colluded with the third parties to provide necessary result in a match with "challenger” in Champaign, state of Illinois, in November, 2015, as Inside the Games informs.
Kryvonos wasn’t able to provide the investigation necessary documents and, thus, he refused to cooperate with investigators from TIU. In this regard the sportsman was suspended from tennis on the 30th of November, 2015 till the time investigation is completed.
Disqualification deadline expires on the 29th of November, 2025.
It should be noted that the 389th position in 2007 was the highest line of the tennis player in the ATP ranking.
Earlier Japanese tennis player Yuna Micuhasi was disqualified for life and fined with $50 000 for organization of fixed matches in 2015.
