The 1/8 FA cup-finals Sutton — Arsenal took place in February, 2017 and came to the end with an away win with the score 2:0. Before the match Sun Bets which became the sponsor of Sutton United on the match day against the London club, proposed to bet on the fact that Shaw will eat a pie during the meeting with coefficient 9.0. The player did so on the 83rd minute sitting on subs bench.
The goalkeeper said that he didn't bet on it but admitted that his friends did. "Friends told me that there are such bets that I will eat a pie during the match. I didn't eat anything all day therefore I laughed and told them that everything is possible. I don't think that someone has earned a lot of money on it. Unless someone has returned money for the ticket" — said Shaw after the match.
