Atalanta had made comeback and was the first to take away points from Juventus

Atalanta had won back two points from Juventus in a bright match of Series A. The honor to close the seventh round and to send Series A to the international pause belonged to Atalanta and Juventus. Massimiliano Allegri 's team approached the match with 100% result and expected to continue winning series, in order not to let Napoli to become the only leader of the championship. The team of Gian Piero Gasperini is a middle level football team but recently it had managed to improve the results. After two starting defeats Atalanta has scored eight points in four games and both home meetings were won.

Fortunately for fans of Atalanta, on the 31st minute the intrigue came back to the football field. Gianluigi Buffon returned a ball after Alejandro Gómez's kick from a penalty area and Mattia Caldara scored a goal! Nearly at once Atalanta could even the score. Jasmin Kurtič had a chance to score a goal but he missed his chance.

Soon after the break Juventus for the third time scored a goal. Mario Mandzukic scored it but the goal of the Croatian forward wasn't included after video review. It turned out that the referee initially didn't see a starting signal from Stephan Lichtsteiner for which the Swiss was "awarded" with a yellow card.

Atalanta together with the cancelled goal received a charge of confidence and continued to fight. In the middle of the second half Gasperini’s team could even the score. Alejandro Gómez from the left wing executed cool pass to the center of rival’s penalty area and Bryan Cristante headed the ball home the left upper corner without good chances for Gianluigi Buffon!

Massimiliano Allegri's team has rushed forward and at the end received 100% chance to win. Paulo Dybala was kicking from penalty area and hit the hand of the player. By means of the video assistant the penalty was awarded. The penalty kick was performed by Paulo Dybala but Etrit Berisha had managed to save his team! The score 2:2 remained up to the final whistle. In a bright and emotional match Atalanta had made comeback and became the first team which managed to take away points from Juventus. After seven rounds the only leader of Series A is Napoli.
