EUROPA: Champions League – Group Stage
Match start: 21:45(GMT+2)
Both leaders of the 8th group H (Tottenham, London and Real Madrid) had reached the 4th round of the group stage of the Champions League with absolutely equal tournament results – both have 7 points each and the goal difference is 7:2.
But according to article d of EUFA regulations now the champion of Europe has given the way to the vice-champion of England thanks to away match of Tottanham at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu (1:1). And now in two weeks two favorites of the group H will play the second leg at the main British arena Wembley Stadium.
Tottenham England (the head coach Mauricio Pochettino)
During last calendar matches of the national championships both rivals have disappointed their fans. Having spent 3/4th of the gaming time near the gates of the hosts of Old Trafford, the Spurs had managed to miss the goal kicked by Anthony Martial at the 81st minute.
And then the Mancunians started to ‘dry” the game and at the results won with minimal score over the stronger rival (1:0). But after such failure the team of Mauricio Pochettino is still taking the 3rd line of the tournament bracket.
Real Madrid, Spain (the head coach Zinedine Zidane)
The millions of the fans are disappointed by the Spanish royal club. As if Tottenham had lost to another favorite of the Champions race of EPL, the Galácticos had lost to the debutants of La Liga Girona (2:1).
Isco had managed to score at the 12 minute. But after the break the champion had relaxed and allowed its very modest opponent to score two goals in a row. After such stupid defeat the team of Zinedine Zidane takes the 3rd line and is behind the leader of the champions race Barcelona with 8 points.
Enforced loss of Harry Kane reduces the attacking potential of the Spurs. Either Son Heung-min or Fernando Llorente will take the center forward’s position during the forthcoming match. And the squad of Real Madrid is still lacking injured Gareth Bale and that is why Los Galácticos had changed its tactical scheme 4-3-3- on classical 4-4-2.
The favorite for this match is the champion of Europa. But here the most actual will be the bet made on the hosts won’t lose.
Tottenham – 3.40, draw – 3.75, Real Madrid – 2.15;
