Date: on the 02nd of May, 2019 (Thursday)
Match start: 20:00 (GMT+1)
Tournament: Europa League. ½ final.
German Eintracht in frames of the first semifinal of the Europa League will play against Chelsea London.
The Eagles are spending nice home matches this play-off stage. And mainly thanks to what outcome they will manage to gain after the first match the chance to get into the final will depend on.
Last round having lost away match to Portuguese Benfica with the score 2:4, Eintracht has won confidently on home ground with the score 2:0, but the Blues is the team of absolutely different level and it will be harder to play against them.
Chelsea has won all six matches this spring having missed only 4 goals.
It is worth notice that three out of four have been scored in frames of the previous game against Slavia Prague (4:3) when with the score 4:1 the team of Mauricio Sarri has slowed down.
It has remembered about the fight for the top-4 of the domestic championship and was trying not to spare too much forces in a match where everything was clear.
So, bearing in mind all we have said we can assume that the match on Commerzbank-Arena will be hard.
Eintracht doesn’t want to miss a lot of goals on home ground understanding that this is dangerous.
But the Eagles won’t probably score a lot of goals – they don’t have enough forces against the Blues.
Chelsea knows that is able to win back any score on Stamford Bridge but still it is better not to lose, especially not to lose with a dry score or they will have to apply much strenght during return game.
However, they need to spare forces bearing in mind their fight on two fronts and this may influence on the finish distance of the EPL.
