Regulations of the Nations League
According to the regulations of the new tournament for the national teams approved by UEFA, twenty four most popular teams were included into two most prestigious Leagues A and B (twelve in each league). And further, in each elite league a distribution of the teams into 4 groups (3 teams in each league) has happened.
What do we have now? In each group there is an odd number of participants. And it means that in each round two teams are fighting and the third national team is resting, that is, holds a friendly match. That is the calendar schedule of the first group of League A:
Thursday, 6th of September
19:45. Munich. Germany (2.50) – France (2.80)
Sunday, 9th of September
19:45. Paris. France – the Netherlands
So, in the first round the vice-champion of the world 2010 and in the second – the winner of the Brazilian FIFA World Cup 2014 “has a rest”. Actually the Netherlands and Germany in days of their “windows” meet with Peru. Thus, the first match of the Oranges in new football season became the friendly match.
Flying Dutchmen of Ronald Koeman
Recently, one of the most popular national teams has undergone severe criticism for considerable decrease in winning results. As a result the Flying Dutchmen under the leadership of Danny Blind couldn’t even have qualified on last FIFA World Cup Russia. Now the most talented fellow countrymen of unforgettable Johannes Cruijff will head the team.
Naturally, champions of Europe 1988 and three-time vice-world champions are still into elite of the European and world football. And the current starting lineup of Mr. Koeman we see familiar faces. These are Jasper Cillessen, Daley Blind, Virgil van Dijk, Wesley Sneijder, Georginio Wijnaldum, Kevin Strootman, Ryan Babel, Memphis Depay, Quincy Promes…
Bookmaker coefficients on the match Netherlands vs. Peru
The participant of the last World Cup – the national team of Peru will be the closest rival of the Oranges. We will remind you that Peru has been included into the number of finalists of World championship for the first time in 40 years, but it has at once announced the claims on a champion title. However the team of Ricardo Gareca has finished the game at a group stage. Also quite obvious favorite of the forthcoming match are the hosts of Amsterdam Arenas: Netherlands – 1.73, Peru – 5.00.
To tell the truth the odds which are proposed by the experts are rather strange as Peru doesn’t have such players as Wesley Sneijder, Memphis Depay and Virgil van Dijk. And therefore our choice is quite obvious.
Netherlands to win – odds 1.65 William Hill
Under 2.5 – odds 1.81 Asianodds
