Bird: the NBA should think over the introduction of four-points line

“Initially no one was attracted with idea of three-point arc. No one has exclaimed: “Oh my God, this is what we need.” No, it took a while. When it was entered, some teams threw because of the arc about five times, and it was a lot. It’s amazing how the game has changed since then.

16-17 years ago I was worried that young players will no longer have a place in the NBA that only big defenders, such as Magic Johnson will be in agreat demand. But then the players began more and more often perform three-point arc, use the whole width of the platform — and everyone needs “kids”. Always thought that my era was the greatest. But now I’m not so sure”, – The New Yorker is quoating Bird words.
