Liverpool – €271.9 million

The first national championship from the quartet of the most top national championships that joins the game is the English Premier League (on the 10th of August). And therefore it is time to sum up the preliminary result of current activity of the English grandees on the summer transfer market. As of writing this prediction, pronounced favorite of all calendar year is Liverpool. Since the 1st of January the grandee from Manchester has spent €271.9 million for strengthening of the squad.

For comparison! The second and third positions are taken by Manchester City and Everton and they both have spent less than, than one Liverpool. After winter signing of the Dutch central back from Southampton Virgil van Dijk (€84.5), this summer the Brazilian goalkeeper from Roma Allison (62.5), the Guinean holding midfielder from Leipzig Germany Nabi Keïta (60), the Brazilian two way midfielder from Monaco Fabinho (50) and the Swiss playmaker from Stoke City Xherdan Shaqiri (14.7) became the new team players of Klopp’s team.

Liverpool gas earned €134 million. The lion’s share of this sum is made by winter transfer of the Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona (120 million).

Manchester City – €139.8 million

The second place in the rating of EPL transfers is taken by the team of Josep Guardiola. But, if this year the grandee from Manchester was renewed by five football players, then the Citizens have made only two signings so far. In winter it was the central back Athletic Club de Bilbao Aymeric Laporte (65 million), and now the Algerian attacking midfielder from Leicester City Riyad Mahrez (67.8).

However, at once after the victory of the Citizens that was gained on the 5th of August in frames of the supercup fight over Chelsea (2:0), Don Guardiola has confirmed that the team is searching for the new holding midfielder as an alternative to Brazilian Fernandinho.

Everton – €119 million

This may be strange, but the third place in the current rating of EPL transfers is taken by Everton. Taking into consideration New Year’s transfers the total amount of signings of the club from Manchester which is the second by its status, has got over100 000 million, and the Brazilian center forward Watford Richardson (65) and the French left wingback from Barcelona Lucas Digne (20) became the new players of the Toffees.

Arsenal – €104.9 million

Arsenal, London became the fourth club which has spent more than one hundred million for strengthening of the squad within this calendar year. Of course, after long-awaited retirement of Arsène Wenger, even against the background of other grandees of the EPL the new team of Unai Emery is now in epicenter of general attention.

Though the Gunners have made their main transfer even in winter, having signed in Borussia Dortmund Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (63.8). And now according to the transfer plan submitted by Emery the Uruguayan midfielder from the Italian Sampdoria Lucas Torreira (€30 million) became the loudest contract of the hosts of Emirates.

The list of leaders of the transfer market is lacking today of the most titled club in the history of the English football Manchester United (59 million) and the ex-champion Chelsea (37 million). However both Jose Mourinho and even the new head coach Maurizio Sarri are every day announcing the future signing of the new football players.
