The first medalist of the Olympic Games 2016 from India will be awarded with $375 000 by the government of India

For 11 days the athletes from India were not able to win any medal for country.

Malik has opened the score by winning the bronze medal in freestyle wrestling in the 58 kg category.

As The Indian Express informs, Malik received congratulations from the prime Minister of India and also from the authorities of the native state.

She is promised to get the award in the amount of nearly $375 000. Besides, Malik can become the state official after homecoming.
