Pre-match information:
Date: on the 07th of March, 2019 (Thursday)
Match start: 18:55 (GMT+1)
Tournament: Europa League. 1/8 final.
In the first game of the 2nd round of the Europa League play-off Rennais France will host Arsenal London.
In 1/16 of final French team has managed to kick out Betis Spain, having lost the first home match with the score 1:2 and won the return leg with the score 3:1 having scored decisive ball on the 4th added minute.
The mid level team of the Ligue 1 neither will reach the Euro Cup places in the championship nor the relegation zone and that is why the Red and Blacks will focus on the Europa League and try to move as far as it is possible that can bring them good money.
The Gunners are fighting on two fronts. They have to fight for the EPL top-4 but bearing in mind deep field they mustn’t forget about the Europa League through which, (in case of failures in frames of the Championship) they will be able to get into the Champions League.
But for this they need to win in the tournament and we believe that if Arsenal will give the rest to the leaders in the Eurocups this won’t happen earlier April and only in case they will manage to create more or less good lag from the 5th place.
We doubt that this will happen, bearing in mind the density in tournament bracket.
This means that the team of Unai Emery will try to win or to take comfortable outcome in order not to show heroism in London.
But Rennais is rather difficult rival that has been proved in a match against Betis and more likely, the forthcoming match will be rich in scored goals by both sides.
